Dr. Keith JefferyOpportunity is missed by most peopleWhat does this quote have to do with tai chi, yoga or chi kung? Absolutely everything. These "disciplines" offer huge opportunities for personal growth and exploration. They are vital keys that can open the door to stress reduction, relaxation, vibrant health, increased energy, improved breathing and immune function, better balance, increased flexibility and so much more. But in their own way, they are (sadly...) "dressed in overalls and look like work". Without doubt, daily practice represents a commitment, involving some time and effort. But the potential payoffs are often surprising, and often very exciting! The results are worth every minute spent. My work over the years has been to help people realize that tai chi practice doesn't have to be time consuming. That you don't need to invest hours, because results can happen after just minutes a day! That a small investment can reap large rewards, that a few minutes can improve the face of any day, the quality of any interaction. A few minutes a day can take you on a fascinating journey. Make a commitment to yourself. After a few sessions, your new opportunity will cease looking like work, and will begin feeling like an art, a craft, or a hobby. I'll end with another quote. "It is wisdom to know others, but it is enlightenment to know oneself." Most of us delight in knowing about everyone else, but are often really quite afraid to look inside. Spend a few minutes each day using the discipline of your choice, and get to know yourself just a little better. Odds are, you'll like what you find! < New free newsletter reports > Visit Tai Chi for Busy People and request the following newsletters. They are delivered instantly. Q. How fast should I do the moves in tai chi?
Sometimes we do a "chi" form, letting our personal energy dictate the speed/tempo. Play with it, experiment and have fun. Tai chi is all about flexibility Testimony "I've tried many different tai chi tapes, and was always disappointed with the lack of technical detail. I've taken several tai chi and Chi Gung classes and was searching for a tape that gave me the same feeling of being in class with an instructor clearly demonstrating the moves. With your 4 Minute Fitness video and your Tai Chi video, I know my search is over! I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with their content!!!" P.
